            2008 STATE SERIES SCHEDULE -

After a long discussion and vote it was decided that each track operator be responsible for choosing their race date and said track
operator will have the choice of having the race schedule be either a one-day or two-day event.

During the meeting it was decided that Kingston will take the weekend dates of June 14 and 15th and will decide later whether or not it will be
a one day or two-day event per Joe Albright..

During the meeting it was decided that Tri-City will hold their State Series Qualifiers in one day on July 12th, 2008 per Claudia Nilsen.

During the meeting it was decided that Shoreham will hold their State Series Qualifiers in one day on August 2, 2008 per Rose Scolaro as per
the request of the track operator.

During the meeting it was decided that New Paltx will hold their State Series Qualifiers in two days the weekend of August 16th and 17th as
            per Barbara Patterson.

During the meeting it was decided that Catamount will hold their State Series Qualifiers in two days the weekend of August 23rd and 24th
as per track director, Amy Herman via telephone.

IT WAS DECIDED AND VOTED UPON THAT THIS YEAR'S STATE SERIES PARTICIPANTS, IN TERMS OF POINT VALUE,  MUST HAVE
RACED A MINIMUM OF FIVE OUT OF THE TWELVE POSSIBLE STATE QUALIFIERS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE  AT THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.
OPPOSED TO THE FOUR-RACE MINIMUM FROM LAST YEAR.

Rose Scolaro mentioned that she would produce a mailing to all past participants of the State Series encouraging and promoting the 2008
State Series and it's schedule.  This being done in order to promote BMX, encourage past riders to re-enter the BMX population and encourage new
participants to BMX.  Rose Scolaro also mentioned a proposed media alert whenever such event occurs.

            POSSIBLE PRO-AM ADDITION -

During the discussion of the State Series schedule it was decided that when possible, we will add a Pro-Am series to each Qualifier.  Clint
Bonnett will look further into this and will shed more light to this subject at the next meeting.  Most track direcctors were agreeable with this idea and agreed that
it will help promote BMX in the area, bring more riders to the events and bring more money to the  individual tracks.

            TRI-STATE SERIES -

Rose Scolaro motioned for a vote to include a Tr-State Series which would include CT., NJ., and NY.  All in attendance favored the idea, bringing
in more interest and riders to the tracks.  There would be one scheduled race at a track in each state, much like a President's Cup race - whereas State vs.            State.  Our newest NBL track, Kingston point, was agreeable.  More information will be forthcoming as the details emerge.

TEAM COMPETITION - POINT CHANGING SYSTEM

Only one Team Manager, Pam DiBiase of ON-TRAC racing was present at the meeting.  Therefore, it was decided that this subject be broached
at the next meeting and that the board would specify that all Team Managers should attend the next Empire BMX meeting scheduled for
            February 17th, 2008.

            STATE GRANT -

There was discussion of the proposed State Grant being submitted by Bill Martin.  However, due to his absence at the meeting there were no
definitive answers.  However, certain individual track estimate proposals were discussed.  This topic will be discussed further at the next meeting
            when Bill Martin is present.

            OTHER NEWS -

Open discussion of the Superdome Track was discussed           and a possible indoor track in the area was being dicussed.

Competition Congress is being held the following weekend.
