2010 Empire BMX Team Rules

1. Team Managers must submit to the Empire State BMX Association, a new team roster, and rider commitment forms. All rider commitment forms must be signed by all riders that are on the team’s roster. All riders under the age of 18 must have their Parent or Guardian sign their team’s commitment form.
2. All Team Rosters must be turned in PRIOR to the start of the 5th Qualifier race (or third stop on the series) on June 17th, 2010 at Catamount BMX.
3. Team Title standings will be determined by their BEST (5) FIVE qualifiers, plus the Empire State BMX Championship Race to be held on September 18th, 2010 at CNY BMX.
4. When a Team drops a rider, the Team Manager must notify the Empire State BMX Association in writing to have the riders name removed from that team’s roster. If a Rider voluntarily leaves a team, he or she must notify the Empire State BMX Association in writing in order to be removed from that teams roster.
5. All rostered team members must wear their team jersey while competing in the class used on the team sheet. The team jersey must display the teams rostered name.
6. All Team Managers may enter up to two (2) team sheets per qualifier. Only the better of the two scores will be counted.
7. All team sheets must be signed by the Team Manager or designated agent and ALL Team Sheets MUST be turned in to the State Commissioner, Jay Severson prior to the start of the race.
8. The Best scored team sheet must be turned in to the State Commissioner, Jay Severson as soon as possible after all main events have been completed or they will not be counted for that days race.
9. A Team entry sheet may not have less than three (3) riders. You may use up to five (5) riders and drop the lowest score for a four-person scoring sheet. Four (4) riders are the total number you may use for scoring. Teams using Five (5) riders on their sheet must use at least one female rider, other than a female rookie.
10. A Rider may not be used twice on the same team sheet.
11. Team sheets are scored from main event results only.
12. Team riders points will be determined on their finish in the main with the following points: 1st – 20, 2nd – 18, 3rd – 16, 4th – 14, 5th – 12, 6th – 10, 7th – 8, 8th – 6. Bonus Points will be awarded as follows: 3-6 riders – 1pt, 7-12 riders – 2pts, 13-24 riders – 3pts, 25-48 riders – 4pts, 49-96 riders – 5pts, 97 and over riders – 6pts. The Championship Race will be a total Double Team Point Race.
13. In the event of a Tie score – the tie will be broken according to the following: 1st tie breaker – most first place finishes in the mains of the scoring team, 2nd tie breaker – most second – eighth place finishes in the mains, 3rd tie breaker – most total bonus points of the scoring team, 4th tie breaker – highest classification of riders on the scoring team in order of Expert, Cruiser, Novice, and Rookie. Any tie in Season Points will be determined on how each team placed in the Championship Race at CNY BMX September 18th, 2010.
14. Team Payouts will be awarded at the Championship Race ONLY to be held on September 18th, 2010 at CNY BMX. Total team payout will be determined on how many qualified teams are present for the Empire State Championship Race.
15. Team entry fees are $10.00 per team sheet, and only two (2) sheets are allowed. See section (6) for more information.
